Tiago Fernandes, Winner of the Junior Australian Open ( BEST POSTING)

Tiago Fernandes is the first brazilian player to win a junior gran slam. Tiago won the ITF Autralian open 2 sets above. He beated the Australian Sean Berman 7/5 6/3. It is difficult to believe that not even Gustavo Kurten (the best player Brazil ever had) won a junior gran slam while 17 years old or below.

Considering the adult's tournaments, Tiago is the fourth brazilian player to win a gran slam, joining Maria Esther Bueno (19 titles), Gustavo Kuerten (three titles in Roland Garros - 1997, 2000 e 2001) and Thomaz Koch (champion in doubles in Roland Garros- 1975).

Tiago started losing his servis, and the australian opened 2-0. Impressively, the brazilian recuperated him selve and made 2-2. At the end of the first set, Tiago broke Berman's service and won 7/5.

In the second set, things were much better for the 17 year old brazilan. He opened 3-0, making his two services and breaking berman's service. So it went, and Tiago made 5/3. The las game was really thouf for Tiago, cause Berman made a lot of break points. Fortunatly, Tiago didn't lose his service. He ended the match with an outstanding ace, and realizing he had made history, Tiago droped his raquet and didn't believe what he had done. He had become the first brazilian to win a junior gran slam

Youzhny Captures the BMW Open

Mikhail Youzhny beated Marin Cilic of Croatia 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 on Sunday, and won the BMW Open for his first title of the year. The Russian captured the BMW Open at his third attempt in the final, having lost in 2007 and 2009.

Youzhny won in 2 hours, 52 minutes and won his sixth career title. The set he lost was the only one he lost all week.

Cilic, who was seeking his third title of the year, wasted break points to prevent Youzhny from winning the first set. He amazingly started with a 3-0 lead before clinching the second set. But one break in the third was enough for Youzhny to take the title.

I saw the whole game and I could see how both of these players tryid hard to win the tournment. Youzhny has shown an impressive tennis sins the beggining of the year and has beated top players like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. If he continues like this, he will be in the top ten for a long time.

Fernando Verdasco, Champion of the Barcelona Open

Fernando Verdasco beated Robin Soderling of Sweden 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 and won the Barcelona Open 2010.

Verdasco ensured an eighth straight Spanish winner at the tournment after beating Soderling in a battle of tremendous courage. Verdasco broke Soderling on consecutive service games and took the first set before faltering in the second to even the match.

The second set was very hard for Verdasco. Unfortunatly, his serve was broken and Soderling won the second set 6-4. The third set was also very difficult fot both of them, but Verdasco took advantage of Sooderling's mistake and concluded the matcn
6-4.

It is impressive to see how Verdasco became champion of the Barcelona open because he wasn't the favorite player to win the tournment. In my opinion he is one of the players who has the coolest moves and abilities of all. I love his back hand and his serve wish are very fast.

Clijsters wins Sony Ericsson Open

Belgium's former World number 1 Kim Clijsters won the final in 58 minutes towards Venus Williams 6-2, 6-1 to win her second Sony Ericsson Open title in Miami Saturday.

Clijsters faced no break points throughout the final. In addition, she won 17 points in a row in the second set, while Williams won only eight points throughout the set.
The third-seeded Williams was one victory away from winning her fourth title at the Sony Erisson Open and also her third straight title, but the 14th-seeded Belgian ended the 15-match winning streak of the American seven-time Grand Slam champion. The two are now leveled at 6-6 in career meetings, with Clijsters winning both their encounters since returning to the Tour.

Clijsters defeated the following players on her way to the $700,000 prize in Miami: Petra Kvitova, Shahar Peer, last year's champion Victoria Azarenka, Samantha Stosur, Justine Henin and finally Venus Williams.

This achivement is projected to lift Clijsters back into the Top 10 for the first time since she returned to the Sony Ericsson Open WTA Tour last year.

I think that Clijsters has had everyone impressed by her hadly work over this months. It is impressive because not everybody starts playing tennis again after retairing. I believe she wil conquer more tournaments in the futere, and if she continues like that, she could possibly become the number one of the world.

Sony Ericson Open

Rafael Nadal won a grinding two-hour battle with his comrade Spaniard David Ferrer Tuesday to reach the Sony Ericsson Open quarter-finals as his comeback continues to gather momentum.

After a hard struggle in the first set in which both players traded heavy blows from the baseline, Nadal looked headed for a routine win when he raced to a 3-0 lead in the second. But Ferrer continued to attack and pushed Nadal all the way before the six-time Grand Slam champion triumphed 7-6(5), 6-4 in 1 hr., 57 mins.

Both spanish players are awesome players. Even thought Nadal won, Ferrer has a lot to demonstrate in the following tournaments. He has trained very hard seesn that past one year and a have, and has been humbold, and doesn't show of. On the other hand, we can see how Nadal has improved, and how he has come back to be the greatest player he was.
