Tiago Fernandes, Winner of the Junior Australian Open ( BEST POSTING)

Tiago Fernandes is the first brazilian player to win a junior gran slam. Tiago won the ITF Autralian open 2 sets above. He beated the Australian Sean Berman 7/5 6/3. It is difficult to believe that not even Gustavo Kurten (the best player Brazil ever had) won a junior gran slam while 17 years old or below.

Considering the adult's tournaments, Tiago is the fourth brazilian player to win a gran slam, joining Maria Esther Bueno (19 titles), Gustavo Kuerten (three titles in Roland Garros - 1997, 2000 e 2001) and Thomaz Koch (champion in doubles in Roland Garros- 1975).

Tiago started losing his servis, and the australian opened 2-0. Impressively, the brazilian recuperated him selve and made 2-2. At the end of the first set, Tiago broke Berman's service and won 7/5.

In the second set, things were much better for the 17 year old brazilan. He opened 3-0, making his two services and breaking berman's service. So it went, and Tiago made 5/3. The las game was really thouf for Tiago, cause Berman made a lot of break points. Fortunatly, Tiago didn't lose his service. He ended the match with an outstanding ace, and realizing he had made history, Tiago droped his raquet and didn't believe what he had done. He had become the first brazilian to win a junior gran slam

Madrid Open 2010

The way Rafael Nadal has been playing on clay, it's hard to imagine he won't take home another great titles like this one. Nadal improved tremendously this season and won a record 18th Masters title Sunday, beating the top-ranked Roger Federer 6-4, 7-
(5) in the Madrid final. with this achivement,Rafael Nadal will become the number two of the world once more.

Nadal is now preparing himself for the french open as well as Federer. I think both of this players will do an amazing job as done in this tournment. Personally, I wich all the best for Roger Federer because I want him to win his next tournment.

Youzhny Captures the BMW Open

Mikhail Youzhny beated Marin Cilic of Croatia 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 on Sunday, and won the BMW Open for his first title of the year. The Russian captured the BMW Open at his third attempt in the final, having lost in 2007 and 2009.

Youzhny won in 2 hours, 52 minutes and won his sixth career title. The set he lost was the only one he lost all week.

Cilic, who was seeking his third title of the year, wasted break points to prevent Youzhny from winning the first set. He amazingly started with a 3-0 lead before clinching the second set. But one break in the third was enough for Youzhny to take the title.

I saw the whole game and I could see how both of these players tryid hard to win the tournment. Youzhny has shown an impressive tennis sins the beggining of the year and has beated top players like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. If he continues like this, he will be in the top ten for a long time.

Fernando Verdasco, Champion of the Barcelona Open

Fernando Verdasco beated Robin Soderling of Sweden 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 and won the Barcelona Open 2010.

Verdasco ensured an eighth straight Spanish winner at the tournment after beating Soderling in a battle of tremendous courage. Verdasco broke Soderling on consecutive service games and took the first set before faltering in the second to even the match.

The second set was very hard for Verdasco. Unfortunatly, his serve was broken and Soderling won the second set 6-4. The third set was also very difficult fot both of them, but Verdasco took advantage of Sooderling's mistake and concluded the matcn
6-4.

It is impressive to see how Verdasco became champion of the Barcelona open because he wasn't the favorite player to win the tournment. In my opinion he is one of the players who has the coolest moves and abilities of all. I love his back hand and his serve wish are very fast.

Clijsters wins Sony Ericsson Open

Belgium's former World number 1 Kim Clijsters won the final in 58 minutes towards Venus Williams 6-2, 6-1 to win her second Sony Ericsson Open title in Miami Saturday.

Clijsters faced no break points throughout the final. In addition, she won 17 points in a row in the second set, while Williams won only eight points throughout the set.
The third-seeded Williams was one victory away from winning her fourth title at the Sony Erisson Open and also her third straight title, but the 14th-seeded Belgian ended the 15-match winning streak of the American seven-time Grand Slam champion. The two are now leveled at 6-6 in career meetings, with Clijsters winning both their encounters since returning to the Tour.

Clijsters defeated the following players on her way to the $700,000 prize in Miami: Petra Kvitova, Shahar Peer, last year's champion Victoria Azarenka, Samantha Stosur, Justine Henin and finally Venus Williams.

This achivement is projected to lift Clijsters back into the Top 10 for the first time since she returned to the Sony Ericsson Open WTA Tour last year.

I think that Clijsters has had everyone impressed by her hadly work over this months. It is impressive because not everybody starts playing tennis again after retairing. I believe she wil conquer more tournaments in the futere, and if she continues like that, she could possibly become the number one of the world.

Sony Ericson Open

Rafael Nadal won a grinding two-hour battle with his comrade Spaniard David Ferrer Tuesday to reach the Sony Ericsson Open quarter-finals as his comeback continues to gather momentum.

After a hard struggle in the first set in which both players traded heavy blows from the baseline, Nadal looked headed for a routine win when he raced to a 3-0 lead in the second. But Ferrer continued to attack and pushed Nadal all the way before the six-time Grand Slam champion triumphed 7-6(5), 6-4 in 1 hr., 57 mins.

Both spanish players are awesome players. Even thought Nadal won, Ferrer has a lot to demonstrate in the following tournaments. He has trained very hard seesn that past one year and a have, and has been humbold, and doesn't show of. On the other hand, we can see how Nadal has improved, and how he has come back to be the greatest player he was.

Nadal's Determination

Rafael Nadal defeated Tomas Berdych 6-4, 7-6 Thursday night to reach the semifinals of the BNP Paribas Open in his first tournament since returning from a six-week injury layoff. Nadal won the final three points of the tiebreaker that ended with Berdych netting a backhand.

It is impressive to see how Nadal fights for victory, even thought he was hampered by knee injuries last summer that continued into the Australian Open in January, when he was forced to retire in the quarterfinals. He has proven to be one of the top players of all history. Even thought Nadal wasn't number one of the world for a long time, he hasn't lost his power and determination for being a better player. I believe that if he continues like that, he could still achive the number one position and be one of the top players of all times besides Federer.

Indian Wells

Roger has returned onto the Tour with a victory, defeating Romania's Victor Hanescu 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-1 in the second round of the Indian Wells ATP tournament on Sunday.

Roger looked in great shape in his first appearance on the Tour after his Australian Open triumph. Bidding for a record fourth title at Indian Wells, Federer started with a break in the second game before winning the opening set in just 30 minutes. However, he was surprisingly broken in the sixth game of the second when the Romanian struck a backhand return winner . Although Roger fought back to 6-6, he fell behind 0-3 in the tiebreak, which Hansecu won 7-5 to level the match. Roger reacted right away, breaking again in the second and sixth games to seal victory.

Round 3 will bring a meeting with Marcos Baghdatis who has shown a strong year so far (title in Sydney, tight semi-final against Djokovic in Dubai). Roger has won all 6 matches against him so far.

Roger is definatly an awesome player. He has proven all that in the past years. As we can see, his level is still very high, and if he continues like that, he could possibly win one of the Gran Slams this year.

Acapulco Open.

Ferrer defeated his best friend and fellow-Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 for the ATP Acapulco title. The title ended Ferrero's 14-match winning streak, which included ATP titles in the last two tournaments in Argentina and Brazil. Ferrero defeated Ferrer to win the Copa Telmex title at Buenos Aires last week.

David Ferrer has proven that he is one of the best players Spain has ever had. He has a lot of determination and love for what he does, and that makes him an outstanding player. If he continues like that, I totally believe that he can achieve the top five of the world until the end of this year.

Novak Djocovic wins the Dubai Open 2010

Novak Djokovic of Serbia won the ATP Dubai Open on Sunday, defeating Russia's Mikhail Youzhny 7-5, 5-7, 6-3 in the final. The match had been stoped in Saturday because of heavy rain with defending champion Djokovic 7-5, 2-0 ahead.

The match continued again on a sunny sunday, where the Russian broke Djocovic's service, and achive the four to four. The Sebian player was under pressure, and didn't consentrate on his service, so he lost one more leading to 5-4 for the russian. Djocovic manage to concentrate again, and with difficulty achived the five to five. Once again, Djocovic had his service broken leading to a six to five. Finally Mikhail Youzhny made his sevice and concluded the second set 7-5.

Djokovic regained the initiative at the start of the deciding set, breaking Youzhny's serve with a big forehand down the line in the second game as he moved out into a 3-0 lead. Things complicated to Mikhail, but once again, he achived the 3-3.
The russian had the opportunity to brake Novak's service, but didn't take that advantage. The servian achived 4-3 and afterwards broke Youzhny's service, leading 5-3. Easily, Djocovic made his service and won the Dubai Open.

I think that Novac Djocovic is an outstanging player. Not everyone achives the number 2 of the world, taking Nadal out of the place. I also think Djocovic is a very intelligent, but sometimes gets angry too easily. That is the only thing he has to get better. Besides that, he will have a lot of success in his future.

Nalbandian is back!

After nine months, the the argentinian player decided to come back to play proffesional tournaments. Nalbandian was away due to pain in the back of his body, and later on did a sirgury.

His first tournament will be The Argentinian Open, which happens in Buenos Aires. All comrades that know him will receive him with all their care and love. They believe that Nalbandian can still be one of the top players of the whole world.

The last match of the argentianian player was in the 4 of may of 2009, which he lost against the chilian player Paul Capdeville in the first round, on the Estoril ATP. This time, he plans on winning the Argentinian open, which he had won on 2008, against another argentinian player named Jose Acasuso. When he played the quarter finals in that tournament, the best argentian football player was also there, Diego Armando Maradona.

I believe Nalbandian can achieve his goal and become one of the best players again. He was a great player who already beated Federer and Nadal, even thought he never won a gran slam. I have a lot of hope in him, and I strongly believe that he will be in the top 50 by the end of this year.

Juan Carlos Ferrero, Champion of the Brazilian Open

Ferrero was the new champion of the Brazilian Open 2010. He beated the polonian Lukasz Kubot in less than an hour. the game was very easy for the spanish player, seens it was 6-1 6-0. For the title, Ferrero earned US$ 75,7 thousand, and 250 points on the ATP ranking.

Ferrero was once number one of the world, and winner of Rolland Garros, one of the greates tournaments. With 30 years old, it`s the first time Ferrero wins the Brazilian Open in Costa do Sauípe. in 2007, He lost in the finals of this tournament to a brazilian.

I think Juan Carlos Ferrero is one of the best players in all history. Even with 30 years old, he is still below the 30`s of the world. He is also one of the best players on clay, after Rafael Nadal. It seems that Spain is an awesome country to try to be proffesional, because there are always good players who come out of that country.

seens I got tired of just writting about Federer, I decided to write about other players around the world. Today i'm going to write about Tiago Fernandes, the future of brazilian tennis.
